Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Catering Attendant to join our team at Sligo University Hospital. In this role, you will support the delivery of high-quality catering services, ensuring that patients, visitors, and staff enjoy healthy, nutritious meals. As a key member of our General Support staff, you will work closely with the Catering Manager to maintain the highest standards of hygiene, food preparation, and customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation and presentation of meals in accordance with hospital guidelines and dietary requirements.
  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in kitchens, dining areas, and food storage facilities.
  • Support stock management, including receiving, storing, and rotating supplies.
  • Provide friendly, efficient service to patients, visitors, and staff, ensuring any dietary needs are respected.
  • Adhere to all hospital policies and health and safety regulations.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in catering, hospitality, or food service is an advantage.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Commitment to providing excellent service and maintaining a safe, hygienic environment.
