Key Responsibilities

As a Social Care Leader with HSE CAMHS in Meath, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Leading and supervising social care teams within the child and adolescent mental health service
  • Developing and implementing care plans for young people with mental health needs
  • Coordinating with multidisciplinary teams including psychologists, psychiatrists, and social workers
  • Ensuring compliance with HSE policies and procedures in mental health care delivery
  • Supporting the professional development of social care staff
  • Maintaining accurate documentation and case records in accordance with Irish healthcare standards
  • Participating in case conferences and team meetings
  • Providing crisis intervention and support when required

Requirements & Qualifications

To be successful in this Social Care Leader position in Meath, you must possess:

Essential Qualifications:

  • Relevant qualification in Social Care, Social Work, or related field recognised by CORU
  • Current registration with CORU (Health and Social Care Professionals Council)
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in social care or mental health settings
  • Experience working with children and adolescents in Ireland
  • Strong leadership and supervisory skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Knowledge of Irish mental health legislation and child protection procedures

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Postgraduate qualification in mental health or child protection
  • Previous experience in CAMHS or similar mental health services
  • Training in therapeutic interventions for young people
  • Experience with HSE systems and procedures
