Join Brothers of Charity Services Ireland, a leading provider of support for people with intellectual disabilities. We are now seeking a Social Care Worker to join our dedicated Disability Support Services team in Ennis, Co. Clare.
About the Role
As a Social Care Worker, you will provide person-centred support to individuals with intellectual disabilities, promoting independence, dignity, and inclusion within their community. This is a permanent part-time position based in Ennis, under the HSE Mid-West Region (Section 38).
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality care and social support in line with individual plans.
- Promote inclusion, rights, and personal development.
- Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to meet service users’ needs.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation.
- Support service users with daily living, communication, and community participation.
- Ensure compliance with HIQA standards and service policies.
Required Qualifications
Essential
- Level 7 or 8 degree in Social Care or Applied Social Studies (Social Care).
- Full clean driving licence (where applicable).
- Experience supporting people with intellectual disabilities.
Preferred
- Knowledge of positive behaviour support.
- Familiarity with HIQA regulations and Person-Centred Planning.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
