About the Role

As a Social Care Worker, you’ll join the Brothers of Charity Services in Gort on a permanent, full-time basis. Working 78 hours across a fortnight, your role will support individuals with intellectual disability to develop skills, independence, and wellbeing.


What You’ll Do

  • Work directly with clients on daily living, social, and community participation skills
  • Help design and implement individualised support plans
  • Encourage client autonomy and confidence
  • Liaise with families, multidisciplinary teams, and community resources
  • Promote best practices in person-centred care

Who We’re Looking For

We value candidates who:

  • Hold a CORU‑recognised qualification in Social Care or equivalent
  • Are registered (or registerable) with CORU
  • Have experience or training in intellectual disability or related care
  • Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Can work independently and as part of a team
