Brothers of Charity Services Ireland is seeking Social Care Workers (Intellectual Disability) to join its dedicated team in Strokestown, Co. Roscommon. These roles support individuals with intellectual disabilities to achieve their full potential through high-quality, person-centred care. Multiple contracts are available — permanent, full-time, part-time, temporary, and locum positions.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide care, support, and advocacy for individuals with intellectual disabilities.
- Implement individualised care plans and promote independent living skills.
- Maintain records and ensure compliance with HIQA standards and service policies.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver holistic care.
- Promote inclusion and community participation for service users.
- Contribute to continuous service improvement and staff development.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- A recognised qualification in Social Care or equivalent (NFQ Level 7 or higher).
- Experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities desirable.
- Knowledge of HIQA standards and person-centred planning.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
- Full clean driving licence (Class B) is an advantage.
- Garda vetting required prior to appointment.
Salary, Benefits & Working Hours
- Salary: As per HSE Consolidated Pay Scales (Grade 3029 – Social Care Worker), effective 1 August 2025 — €38,387 to €55,403 per annum (dependent on experience, per Department of Health Circular 6/2025).
- Employment Type: Permanent Wholetime (various contracts also available).
- Working Hours: Full-time or part-time options available.
