The Brothers of Charity Services Ireland are seeking Social Care Workers to join their team in Boyle, Co. Roscommon. This is an excellent opportunity for passionate social care professionals committed to supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities in a person-centred environment.

About the Role

As a Social Care Worker (Grade 3029), you’ll support adults with intellectual disabilities to achieve their full potential, promoting independence, dignity, and inclusion in their community. This role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact while working within a supportive, values-based organisation.

Contract: 3 × Permanent Part-Time Positions (45 hours per fortnight)
Health Region: HSE West and North West

Key Responsibilities

  • Support service users in daily living, education, and community participation.
  • Develop and implement individualised support plans.
  • Promote personal development and self-advocacy.
  • Ensure the highest standards of care, safety, and wellbeing.
  • Maintain accurate records and participate in reviews.
  • Work collaboratively with families and multidisciplinary teams.

Required Qualifications

Essential

  • QQI Level 7/8 qualification in Social Care, Applied Social Studies, or equivalent (CORU-recognised).
  • Experience supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and on one’s own initiative.
  • Full clean driving licence.

Preferred

  • Experience within a residential or day service setting.
  • Knowledge of HIQA standards and person-centred planning.
