Job Overview
The Staff Grade Physiotherapist will deliver physiotherapy assessment, treatment, rehabilitation, and mobility programmes for patients attending or residing within Our Lady’s Hospice & Care Services. The role involves supporting patients with complex physical needs while promoting independence, comfort, and quality of life.
This position is offered on a specified purpose whole-time contract basis and is open to both HSE and non-HSE applicants.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide physiotherapy assessment and treatment plans for patients with varying clinical needs
- Support rehabilitation, mobility, and functional independence programmes
- Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and patient records
- Participate in discharge planning and patient care coordination
- Deliver patient-centred care in line with professional standards and best practices
- Contribute to service improvement and quality initiatives
- Support safe handling and mobility management within the care setting
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Recognised qualification in Physiotherapy
- CORU registration or eligibility for registration
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary environment
- Experience in rehabilitation, acute care, or palliative care settings is desirable
- Excellent clinical reasoning and patient assessment skills
- Commitment to compassionate and patient-focused care
