Key Responsibilities

As a Staff Nurse in Children’s Services at Sligo University Hospital, you will:

• Provide high-quality nursing care to paediatric patients across various age groups
• Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary healthcare teams
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
• Support families during their child’s hospital stay
• Participate in ongoing professional development and training programmes

Requirements & Qualifications

Essential Requirements:

• Registration: Current registration with Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI)
• Education: Recognised nursing qualification from an approved institution
• Experience: Previous experience in children’s nursing or willingness to specialise
• Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Authorisation: Right to work in Ireland

Desirable Qualifications:

• Post-graduate qualification in children’s nursing
• Previous HSE experience
• CPR and life support certifications
• Experience working in acute hospital settings
