The Rehab Group is recruiting a Staff Nurse to join its disability services team based in Stillorgan, Co. Dublin. This is a permanent wholetime opportunity with a leading Section 39 organisation providing services to people with intellectual disabilities. The role is open to all applicants.
Role Overview
The successful candidate will deliver high-quality nursing care to individuals with intellectual disabilities within a community-based setting. The Rehab Group is a publicly funded voluntary organisation and one of Ireland’s largest providers of disability and rehabilitation services.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care and support to service users with intellectual disabilities in line with best practice standards.
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individual care plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
- Advocate for the rights, dignity, and independence of service users.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in accordance with NMBI standards and organisational policy.
- Administer medications and clinical interventions as prescribed and within scope of practice.
- Participate in team meetings, clinical reviews, and continuing professional development activities.
- Contribute to a safe, person-centred environment in compliance with health and safety regulations.
Requirements
- Full registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI) — RNID qualification required, or a minimum of one year’s experience working in the area of Intellectual Disabilities.
- Demonstrated commitment to person-centred care for individuals with intellectual disabilities.
- Strong communication, teamworking, and organisational skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends as required by the service.
Salary
The Rehab Group is a Section 39 organisation and sets its own pay terms. Where the HSE Staff Nurse (General) scale (Grade 2135) is applied as a reference, rates effective 1 June 2026 are €38,166 – €56,592 per annum (13-point scale, plus Long Service Increments). Actual remuneration is subject to The Rehab Group’s own terms and conditions — candidates are advised to confirm the applicable salary at interview or prior to accepting an offer.
