Connolly Hospital in Dublin is recruiting a Staff Nurse for its Acute Stroke Unit. This is a permanent, whole-time post offering a structured incremental salary scale and the opportunity to develop specialist clinical expertise within a busy acute hospital environment in HSE Dublin and North East.
Role Overview
The successful candidate will deliver high-quality nursing care to patients presenting with acute stroke and related conditions. Working within a multidisciplinary team, the post-holder will contribute to the safe, effective, and person-centred management of patients across the stroke care continuum.
Key Requirements
- Demonstrable depth and breadth of knowledge and recent experience as a Staff Nurse in an Acute Stroke setting or similar clinical area.
- Recent nursing experience in an acute hospital setting, directly relevant to this role.
- Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI) in the relevant division.
Salary
€38,166 – €54,956 per annum (HSE Staff Nurse scale, 12-point scale, plus Long Service Increments up to €56,592 where applicable). Based on the HSE Consolidated Salary Scales effective 1 June 2026.

Connolly Hospital, Dublin North. Connolly Hospital is a major acute general hospital serving north Dublin and surrounding counties, operating under HSE Dublin and North East (covering North Dublin, Meath, Louth, Cavan, and Monaghan).
