Team Leader – Disability Services – Clonmel | Brothers of Charity

Brothers of Charity Services Ireland South East is seeking a dedicated Team Leader for Disability Services for our Clonmel location. This permanent wholetime role offers competitive compensation and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in intellectual disability support services.

About the Role

As Team Leader – Disability Services, you’ll provide leadership and oversight within our specialized disability support team in Clonmel. You’ll coordinate daily operations while ensuring high-quality person-centered care for individuals with intellectual disabilities. This role reports to the Service Manager and involves both hands-on support and team coordination responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a multidisciplinary team providing daily support to individuals with intellectual disabilities
  • Manage workshop activities, therapeutic programs, and person-centered planning processes
  • Collaborate with families, healthcare professionals, and external service providers
  • Ensure compliance with HIQA standards and Brothers of Charity policies
  • Develop individual support plans and monitor progress outcomes
  • Coordinate staff schedules, training programs, and professional development activities
  • Support service users in achieving personal goals and maintaining independence

Essential Qualifications

Education: Level 7 qualification in Social Care, Disability Studies, or related field
Experience: 3+ years in disability services + 2+ years in supervisory role
Certifications: Valid manual handling certificate, First Aid certification
Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and person-centered care expertise

Preferred Qualifications

  • Level 8 qualification in relevant discipline
  • Experience with HIQA inspection processes
  • Supervisory training certification
  • Knowledge of assistive technologies
  • Experience in workshop management or vocational training
