About the Role
Brothers of Charity Services Ireland is seeking an experienced Senior Occupational Therapist Ennis Clare to lead therapeutic interventions and provide specialized care for individuals with intellectual disabilities. This permanent wholetime position offers excellent career progression opportunities within Ireland’s leading disability services organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate occupational therapy assessments and interventions for individuals with complex needs
- Develop comprehensive treatment plans utilizing evidence-based therapeutic approaches
- Supervise and mentor junior occupational therapy staff and students
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including social workers, nurses, and support staff
- Conduct home and community-based assessments to maximize independence
- Provide specialist advice on adaptive equipment and environmental modifications
- Maintain accurate clinical records and contribute to service development initiatives
Required Qualifications
Essential Requirements
- Registration with CORU as an Occupational Therapist
- Degree in Occupational Therapy from a recognized institution
- Minimum 3 years post-qualification experience in occupational therapy
- Experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities preferred
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Valid driving license and access to transport
Preferred Qualifications
- Postgraduate qualification in relevant specialty area
- Supervisory or management experience in healthcare settings
- Knowledge of disability legislation and person-centered planning
- Experience with assistive technology and environmental adaptations
