About the Role
This Staff Nurse General Community Cavan Monaghan position provides an opportunity to deliver high-quality nursing care in community settings across Cavan and Monaghan. Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in community settings across Cavan Monaghan
- Conduct nursing assessments and develop individualized care plans for community patients
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams including GPs, specialists, and allied health professionals
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with HSE standards
- Support health promotion and disease prevention initiatives in the Cavan Monaghan community
- Participate in on-call duties and emergency response as required
- Mentor student nurses and newly qualified staff in community nursing practices
Required Qualifications
Essential Requirements
- Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI)
- Relevant nursing qualification recognized by NMBI
- Minimum 6 months post-registration experience (new graduates considered)
- Valid driver’s license and access to transport for community visits
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to continuous professional development
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous community nursing or primary care experience
- Additional post-registration qualifications in community health
- Experience working within HSE systems and protocols
- Knowledge of local Cavan Monaghan healthcare services and resources
