About the Role
This Senior Clinical Psychologist Long Covid Cork position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a cutting-edge healthcare environment, delivering specialized psychological interventions for patients with complex Long Covid presentations. Key Responsibilities
- Clinical Assessment: Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments for Long Covid patients
- Therapeutic Interventions: Deliver evidence-based psychological treatments for infectious disease sequelae
- Care Planning: Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for complex presentations
- Multidisciplinary Collaboration: Work closely with medical, nursing, and allied health teams
- Service Development: Contribute to the advancement of Long Covid psychological services
- Clinical Documentation: Maintain accurate records and contribute to clinical governance
- Supervision: Provide guidance to junior psychology staff and students
Required Qualifications
Essential Requirements
- Registration: CORU registration as a Clinical Psychologist
- Education: Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology or equivalent
- Experience: Minimum 3 years post-qualification clinical psychology experience
- Specialization: Experience in health psychology, rehabilitation psychology, or infectious diseases
- Skills: Strong assessment, formulation, and therapeutic intervention skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience working with Long Covid or post-viral syndrome patients
- Knowledge of chronic illness psychology and rehabilitation approaches
- Experience in multidisciplinary healthcare settings
- Research experience in relevant clinical areas
