As Clinical Nurse Manager 1, you’ll lead nursing operations within our specialized day unit, ensuring high-quality patient care while managing clinical staff and resources. You’ll collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver exceptional healthcare services in Cork’s premier medical facility.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead clinical nursing operations in the Dunmanway Day Unit with full accountability for patient safety and care standards
- Manage and supervise nursing staff, providing guidance, support, and professional development opportunities
- Coordinate patient care plans with medical teams, ensuring seamless service delivery and optimal patient outcomes
- Ensure regulatory compliance with HSE policies, HIQA standards, and nursing professional requirements
- Develop quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient experience and clinical effectiveness
- Manage resources efficiently including staff scheduling, equipment, and supplies within budget parameters
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and participate in audit activities and performance reviews
Essential Requirements
Education & Experience
- Degree in Nursing with current NMBI registration
- Minimum 3 years general nursing experience with 1+ years in day unit or similar acute setting
- Clinical supervision experience or demonstrated leadership capabilities in healthcare environment

- Strong clinical assessment skills with expertise in day case patient management
- Excellent communication abilities for patient interaction and multidisciplinary collaboration
- Leadership capabilities to motivate teams and drive quality improvement

Preferred Qualifications
- Post-registration qualification in relevant specialty area
- Management or leadership training in healthcare settings
