HSE Dublin and Midlands is seeking an experienced Clinical Nurse Manager 2 to join our Student Allocations Liaison team. This permanent part-time role offers the opportunity to shape the future of nursing education while advancing your career in healthcare management and student development.
About the Role
As Clinical Nurse Manager 2 – Student Allocations Liaison Officer, you’ll play a crucial role in coordinating clinical learning experiences for undergraduate nursing students and registered nurses. This specialized position combines clinical expertise with educational leadership, ensuring optimal student placement and learning outcomes across our healthcare network.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage student allocations across clinical learning environments in Dublin and Midlands region
- Develop and maintain strategic partnerships with educational institutions and clinical practice areas
- Ensure quality clinical placement experiences that meet both student learning objectives and service requirements
- Provide leadership and guidance to clinical staff supporting student nurses in practice
- Monitor and evaluate student allocation processes to continuously improve educational outcomes
- Collaborate with Nursing and Midwifery Planning teams to optimize student placement opportunities
- Utilize advanced ICT systems including Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook for data management and reporting
Required Qualifications
Essential Requirements
- Registration with NMBI (Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland)
- Minimum 5 years post-registration nursing experience in clinical environments
- Demonstrated experience in clinical learning environments supporting undergraduate nursing students
- Proven leadership and management experience in healthcare settings
- Advanced ICT skills in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Post-graduate qualification in Nursing Management, Education or related field
- Experience in student allocation coordination or educational liaison roles
- Knowledge of nursing education frameworks and clinical placement standards
- Previous experience in HSE or similar healthcare organization
