We are seeking an experienced Speech & Language Therapy Manager III to lead our therapeutic services team in Tullamore, Co Offaly. About the Role
Join our dynamic Speech & Language Therapy department as Manager III, where you’ll provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for therapeutic services in the Dublin and Midlands region. This senior management role involves directing clinical services, managing multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring high-quality patient care delivery across our Tullamore facility and surrounding areas.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the Speech & Language Therapy department, ensuring efficient service delivery and optimal patient outcomes
- Develop and implement clinical protocols, policies, and quality improvement initiatives specific to speech and language therapeutic interventions
- Supervise and mentor speech and language therapists, therapy assistants, and support staff within the department
- Coordinate multidisciplinary care with medical consultants, nursing staff, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals
- Manage departmental budget and resources, including equipment procurement, staff scheduling, and facility management
- Ensure compliance with HSE policies, professional standards, and regulatory requirements for speech and language therapy services
- Conduct performance reviews and support professional development for therapeutic staff members
Required Qualifications
Essential Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Speech & Language Therapy from a recognized institution
- Registration with CORU (Health and Social Care Professionals Council)
- Minimum 5 years post-qualification experience in speech and language therapy
- Minimum 2 years management or team leadership experience in healthcare settings
- Demonstrated expertise in clinical supervision and staff development within therapeutic services
Preferred Qualifications
- Postgraduate qualification in management, leadership, or specialized therapeutic areas
- Experience managing multidisciplinary teams in acute or community healthcare settings
- Knowledge of HSE policies and procedures for allied health professional services
- Strong analytical skills for quality improvement and service development initiatives

This position is based in Tullamore, serving the Dublin and Midlands region including Westmeath, Wicklow, Offaly, Longford, Laois, Kildare, and parts of Dublin South. The role may involve service delivery across multiple sites within the region as required.
