About the Role
This permanent full-time Staff Officer position is based in the HR Department at 25 Newcastle Road, Galway, serving the HSE West and North West region covering Donegal, Sligo, Leitrim, Roscommon, Mayo, and Galway. You’ll play a vital role in supporting human resources functions across our extensive healthcare network.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage HR operations using SAP HR & Payroll systems to ensure accurate and timely processing
- Support recruitment processes in line with HSE recruitment procedures and best practices
- Provide administrative support for various HR functions across the West and North West region
- Maintain employee records and ensure compliance with data protection requirements
- Assist with payroll processing and resolve queries related to employee compensation
- Support HR policy implementation and contribute to process improvements
- Liaise with stakeholders across multiple counties to deliver effective HR services
Required Qualifications
Essential Requirements:
- Experience working in Human Resources environment
- Working knowledge of SAP HR & Payroll system
- Knowledge of HSE HR functions and HSE recruitment processes
- Strong administrative and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Preferred Qualifications:
- Relevant HR qualification or certification
- Experience in healthcare or public sector environment
- Knowledge of employment legislation and best practices
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
