About the Role
Brothers of Charity Services Ireland is recruiting a Clinical Nurse Manager 2 (CNM2) – Person in Charge for its Disability Services in Cahir, Co. Tipperary. This is a Specified Purpose Wholetime role supporting high-quality care and leadership across residential and day services in the South Tipperary region.
The successful candidate will ensure person-centred care, compliance with HIQA standards, and effective management of a multidisciplinary team within the organisation’s values-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of nurses and care staff across designated disability services.
- Ensure the delivery of safe, high-quality, and person-centred care.
- Act as Person in Charge (PIC) in line with HIQA regulations.
- Oversee clinical governance, audits, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Support and develop staff through mentoring, supervision, and training.
- Maintain effective communication with families, multidisciplinary teams, and regulators.
- Contribute to policy development and the implementation of best practice standards.
Required Qualifications
Essential
- Registered Nurse with the NMBI (Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland).
- Minimum of 3 years’ post-registration experience, including supervisory/management experience in the disability sector.
- Proven leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
- Understanding of the Health Act 2007 (Care and Support of Residents in Designated Centres for People with Disabilities) Regulations 2013.
Preferred
- Postgraduate qualification in Management or Intellectual Disability Nursing.
- Experience working in a Section 38 or Section 39 organisation.
- Knowledge of HIQA inspection frameworks and quality systems.
