Join the Health Service Executive (HSE) West and North West as a Multi Task Attendant at the Joe and Helen O’Toole Community Nursing Unit in Tuam, Co. Galway. This is a permanent whole-time or part-time opportunity supporting patient and client care within a modern, community-based residential setting.
About the Role
As a Multi Task Attendant, you will play a key role in maintaining high-quality standards of care and cleanliness for residents and patients. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you will support daily operations across catering, domestic, and patient-care duties within the unit.

Key Responsibilities
- Assist nursing and care staff in maintaining resident comfort, dignity, and wellbeing.
- Carry out assigned cleaning, catering, and laundry duties to the highest HSE hygiene standards.
- Support infection prevention and control measures within the unit.
- Provide assistance to residents with mobility, meals, and general comfort when required.
- Adhere to all HSE safety, confidentiality, and health protocols.
- Work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary healthcare team.
Required Qualifications
Essential
- Experience working in a healthcare, hospital, residential, or community setting providing direct care to service users.
- Demonstrated ability to follow care and hygiene protocols accurately.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a compassionate approach to residents.
Desirable
- Previous employment as a Multi Task Attendant or similar support role within the HSE or healthcare sector.
- Understanding of health and safety, infection control, and patient confidentiality practices.
