An Garda Síochána is seeking qualified and experienced ICT professionals to join their Digital & ICT Centre as Senior ICT Specialists (Higher Executive Officer level). Based in Dublin 8, this is a permanent public sector role with a starting salary from €58,847 (per the revised August 2025 public service pay scales).
Applications are invited for multiple positions across four key ICT streams within the organisation’s modern digital infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage the delivery, maintenance, and quality assurance of ICT systems and infrastructure.
• Lead teams within assigned digital or ICT areas ensuring continuous improvement.
• Deliver ICT and digital solutions that improve operational efficiency and service quality.
• Oversee projects and manage competing priorities in a busy enterprise-scale environment.
• Engage with internal and external stakeholders to align ICT initiatives with organisational goals.
• Ensure compliance with public service ICT governance and security standards.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Applicants must meet one of the following minimum qualifications by the closing date:
• NFQ Level 7 qualification in a relevant ICT area plus 3 years of hands-on ICT/Digital experience.
• NFQ Level 8 or higher degree with computing modules plus 3 years’ relevant experience.
• NFQ Level 6 qualification plus 5 years of relevant ICT/Digital experience.
• Two industry-recognised ICT certifications plus 5 years of relevant experience.
Candidates must also demonstrate:
• Experience in one or more areas — Digital/ICT Business Engagement, ICT Operations/Infrastructure, Networks & Cyber Security, or Software Development.
• Proven leadership and team management in ICT environments.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Proven delivery of digital transformation or continuous improvement projects.

• Starting salary: €58,847 per annum (Higher Executive Officer scale, as per 1 August 2025 public service pay agreement).
