Cork University Maternity Hospital (CUMH) is seeking a skilled and motivated Grade V Staff Officer to join its Human Resources team. This permanent, wholetime position offers an excellent opportunity for experienced administrative professionals within the public health sector to advance their career in a fast-paced maternity hospital environment. Key Responsibilities
• Provide high-quality HR administrative support across recruitment, employee relations, and workforce planning
• Assist HR management with documentation, reporting, and coordination of HR processes
• Ensure compliance with HSE policies, national HR guidelines, and employment legislation
• Maintain accurate HR records and support data collection for audits, KPIs, and statutory reporting
• Liaise professionally with staff, managers, and external bodies as required
• Support HR projects, service improvements, and operational requirements within CUMH
• Handle confidential information with discretion and uphold data protection standards
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Eligibility: Employees of the HSE, TUSLA, Section 38 agencies, or statutory health agencies
• Relevant administrative experience at Grade IV level or equivalent
• Strong knowledge of HR processes, policies, and public-sector governance
• Excellent organisational, communication, and IT skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Proven capacity to manage competing priorities and deadlines
• Commitment to confidentiality, accuracy, and high-quality service delivery
Salary, Benefits & Working Hours
• Grade V (0566) – salary in line with the HSE Consolidated Salary Scales (1 August 2025)
• Contract: Permanent, wholetime
• Hours: Standard HSE working week
