Grade VII Quality, Risk & Patient Safety Strategy Improvement Coordinator – Dublin South

The HSE Dublin and South East is seeking a highly experienced Grade VII Quality, Risk and Patient Safety Strategy Improvement Coordinator to support strategic quality and governance initiatives across the region. This permanent, whole-time role plays a key part in driving quality improvement, patient safety, and organisational change at senior management level.

The successful candidate will work closely with executive leadership, national directors, external stakeholders, and service users to deliver high-impact quality and patient safety programmes.


Key Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate quality, risk and patient safety strategy improvement initiatives
• Manage and deliver complex quality improvement and change projects
• Prepare high-quality reports, briefings, business cases, and official correspondence
• Analyse and interpret data to support evidence-based decision-making
• Engage professionally with senior internal and external stakeholders, including Department of Health and HSE National Directors
• Support governance, assurance, and compliance processes across services
• Provide line management and leadership to assigned staff and project teams


Required Skills & Qualifications

• Significant experience working at senior management level in a complex organisation
• Proven project management experience delivering complex change or quality improvement initiatives
• Strong data analysis and reporting skills, including production of management reports
• Advanced professional writing skills (reports, letters, business cases, templates)
• Demonstrated experience in a line management role
• Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication, and influencing skills
• Experience in healthcare quality, risk, governance, or patient safety is highly desirable


Salary, Benefits & Working Hours

• Salary: In line with HSE Grade VII (0582) consolidated salary scale, as per Department of Health pay policy
• Contract: Permanent, Whole-Time
• Working Hours: Full-time (HSE standard working arrangements)
