This is a senior leadership opportunity within the National Screening Service, providing strategic direction for Human Resources and Corporate Services. The role plays a critical part in enabling national population-based screening programmes through effective workforce, governance, and corporate systems leadership.

There is currently one permanent, whole-time post available. A panel may also be formed to fill future permanent or specified-purpose vacancies, full-time or part-time.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead and deliver the HR and Corporate Services strategy aligned with National Screening Service objectives
• Provide executive-level advice to the Chief Executive and Senior Leadership Team
• Oversee workforce planning, organisational development, and employee relations
• Ensure robust corporate governance, risk management, and compliance frameworks
• Lead change management initiatives and service modernisation programmes
• Manage budgets, resources, and performance across HR and corporate functions
• Foster a high-performance, values-driven organisational culture
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Significant senior management experience at a strategic level
• Proven leadership in Human Resources and/or Corporate Services functions
• Demonstrated experience in governance, compliance, and organisational change
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
• Experience within complex public sector or healthcare environments is desirable
Salary, Benefits & Working Hours
• Salary in accordance with HSE General Manager Grade 0041, aligned to Department of Health Consolidated Salary Scales (effective 1 August 2025)

• Whole-time and part-time contract options may apply depending on appointment

The role is based at the National Screening Service headquarters in Dublin 1. The National Screening Service is responsible for delivering population-based cancer screening programmes nationwide, supporting early detection and improved health outcomes across Ireland.
