An internal opportunity has arisen for a Grade VI Section Officer within the Planning and Performance function of the HSE, based in Cork. This role plays a key part in supporting strategic planning, performance monitoring, and service improvement across the health system. The General Manager, Planning is open to engagement regarding on-site attendance in line with the HSE Blended Working Policy.

Key Responsibilities
• Support planning and performance processes within the Planning Unit
• Contribute to service planning, monitoring, and reporting activities
• Analyse data and prepare reports to inform management decisions
• Coordinate inputs from multiple stakeholders across services
• Ensure compliance with HSE policies, procedures, and governance requirements
• Assist in the development and implementation of performance improvement initiatives
• Provide administrative and operational support to senior management
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Eligibility restricted to employees of the HSE, TUSLA, Section 38 agencies, or statutory health agencies (per WRC Agreement 161867)
• Experience working in an administrative, management, or planning environment
• Strong analytical, organisational, and communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams
• Proficiency in report writing and use of standard office systems
• Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
Salary, Benefits & Working Hours
• Salary: In line with the HSE Grade VI consolidated salary scale (Department of Health approved rates)
• Contract types: Permanent (whole-time or part-time) and Specified Purpose (whole-time or part-time)
