Galway University Hospitals are seeking an experienced Senior Dietitian (Diaitéiteach Sinsearach) to deliver specialist, evidence-based nutritional care within Paediatrics and Neonatology. This permanent whole-time role offers the opportunity to work as part of a highly skilled multidisciplinary team supporting some of the most complex clinical cases in the region.

Key Responsibilities
• Provide advanced clinical dietetic assessment and intervention for paediatric and neonatal patients
• Deliver evidence-based nutritional management plans in line with national and international guidelines
• Work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams across paediatric and neonatal services
• Contribute to service development, audit, and quality improvement initiatives
• Supervise and support junior dietetic staff and students as required
• Participate in clinical governance, research, and continuing professional development
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and reporting standards
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Eligibility for registration with CORU as a Dietitian
• Significant post-qualification clinical experience, including paediatrics and/or neonates
• Demonstrated high level of clinical knowledge and evidence-based practice
• Strong communication and interdisciplinary working skills
• Experience in service development and audit is desirable
• Excellent organisational and time-management abilities
Salary, Benefits & Working Hours
• Grade: Dietitian – Senior (3395)
• Salary: In line with HSE consolidated salary scales (competitive, dependent on experience)
• Contract: Permanent Whole-Time
