Senior Dietitian – Acute Medicine & Maternity

Tipperary University Hospital is seeking an experienced Senior Dietitian to join its Acute Medicine and Maternity services. This is a permanent, whole-time opportunity to deliver high-quality, evidence-based nutritional care within a dynamic acute hospital environment.

The successful candidate will demonstrate depth and breadth of clinical dietetic expertise and will contribute to multidisciplinary care pathways, service development, and professional leadership.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver specialist dietetic assessment and intervention within Acute Medicine and Maternity
• Manage complex caseloads in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
• Provide nutrition support, including enteral and parenteral nutrition, as required
• Contribute to service planning, quality improvement, and audit activities
• Supervise and support junior dietitians and students as appropriate
• Participate in policy development and implementation of best practice guidelines
• Engage in continuous professional development and clinical supervision

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Eligible for registration with CORU as a Dietitian
• Significant post-qualification clinical experience relevant to acute hospital services
• Demonstrated expertise in Acute Medicine and/or Maternity dietetics
• Strong clinical reasoning, communication, and organisational skills
• Experience working within multidisciplinary healthcare teams
• Evidence of ongoing professional development
