Brothers of Charity Services Ireland is seeking a dedicated Instructor/Supervisor (Disability Services) to support adults with intellectual disabilities in South Connemara. This permanent part-time role focuses on promoting independence, skill development, and community inclusion within a person-centred service.

Key Responsibilities

• Support service users in day services, workshops, and community-based activities
• Plan and deliver structured programmes that promote independence and life skills
• Supervise and support service users in achieving personal goals
• Maintain high standards of care in line with HIQA and organisational policies
• Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
• Complete required documentation and progress reports
• Promote health, safety, and wellbeing at all times

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Relevant QQI Level 5/6 qualification (or equivalent) in Social Care, Disability Studies, or related field
• Experience working with people with intellectual disabilities
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Knowledge of person-centred planning and community inclusion
• Full driving licence desirable

Salary, Benefits & Working Hours

• Grade: Workshop Supervisor / Instructor (6425)
• Salary: In line with approved public sector pay scales (pro-rata for part-time hours)
• Contract: Permanent Part-time (X1PPT)
