An internal opportunity has arisen for a Section Officer (Grade VI) within the Assessment of Needs service, supporting national disability services. This role plays a key part in operational management, governance, and service delivery, ensuring statutory obligations are met efficiently and consistently.
This position is open only to employees of the HSE, TUSLA, Section 38 agencies, or statutory health agencies, in line with WRC Agreement 161867.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage and coordinate administrative and operational functions within the Assessment of Needs service
• Support service planning, reporting, and performance monitoring
• Supervise and support staff, ensuring compliance with HSE policies and procedures
• Contribute to governance, quality assurance, and risk management processes
• Liaise with internal and external stakeholders at local and national level
• Support implementation of national policies and legislative requirements
• Ensure accurate record-keeping and data management
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Eligibility to work within the HSE or approved statutory health agencies
• Experience at or equivalent to a supervisory/management administrative level
• Strong organisational, communication, and leadership skills
• Demonstrated ability to manage workloads, priorities, and deadlines
• Knowledge of public service governance and reporting requirements
• Proficiency in ICT systems relevant to administrative and management roles
