An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Grade VI Recruitment Officer within the Regional Recruitment Office based at Galway University Hospital (Merlin Park University Hospital). This permanent, whole-time role supports recruitment delivery across HSE West and North West, contributing directly to workforce planning and service continuity.

This campaign will fill one permanent vacancy, with a panel also formed for future permanent or specified purpose roles.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage end-to-end recruitment campaigns
• Ensure compliance with HSE, public service, and WRC recruitment frameworks
• Liaise with hiring managers and senior stakeholders across regions
• Oversee candidate communications and interview scheduling
• Maintain accurate recruitment records and reporting
• Support continuous improvement within recruitment processes

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Eligibility restricted to current employees of the HSE, TUSLA, Section 38 agencies, or statutory health agencies (WRC Agreement 161867)
• Proven administrative or recruitment experience at a comparable level
• Strong organisational, communication, and ICT skills
• Ability to manage multiple recruitment campaigns concurrently
• Full eligibility criteria as outlined in the official Job Specification

Salary, Benefits & Working Hours

• Salary: Grade VI (0574) public sector pay scale, in line with HSE consolidated salary scales
• Contract: Permanent whole-time
