St Luke’s General Hospital, Kilkenny is seeking a Senior House Officer in Emergency Medicine to join a busy, patient-focused Emergency Department. This role offers valuable acute care experience within a multidisciplinary HSE hospital setting and is suitable for both HSE and non-HSE applicants.

Key Responsibilities
• Provide high-quality emergency medical assessment and treatment
• Participate in the delivery of acute and unscheduled care
• Work collaboratively with consultants, registrars, nursing, and allied health professionals
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and patient records
• Contribute to on-call and rostered emergency cover
• Adhere to HSE clinical governance, safety, and quality standards
• Engage in ongoing clinical education and training
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Registration or eligibility for registration with the Irish Medical Council
• Completion of internship and relevant post-internship experience
• Demonstrated competence in emergency medicine or acute care settings
• Strong clinical decision-making and communication skills
• Eligibility to work in Ireland

• Salary in line with HSE Senior House Officer consolidated pay scales (effective 1 August 2025)
