Sligo University Hospital is seeking Domestic Attendants (Oibrí Tí) to support a safe, clean, and welcoming healthcare environment. This role is vital to infection prevention and patient experience across clinical and non-clinical areas.
Table of Contents
Key Responsibilities
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene across wards, departments, and public areas
• Follow infection prevention and control procedures at all times
• Dispose of waste safely in line with hospital policies
• Replenish supplies and report maintenance or safety issues
• Work collaboratively with clinical and support teams
• Use cleaning equipment and chemicals safely and correctly
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Good communication skills and attention to detail
• Understanding of hygiene standards (training provided)
• Flexibility to work varied hours, including weekends
• Experience in a healthcare or cleaning environment is desirable but not essential
Salary, Benefits & Working Hours
• Salary: In line with HSE General Support Grade Domestic 4110 (Department of Health consolidated pay scales effective 1 August 2025)
