The Health Service Executive (HSE) is seeking compassionate and dedicated Health Care Assistants to join our team in Sligo and Leitrim. As a Health Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting patients and clients, ensuring they receive high-quality care in a respectful and dignified manner.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist patients with personal care tasks, including hygiene, mobility, and feeding.
- Support nursing staff in delivering comprehensive care plans.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients and staff.
- Observe and report any changes in patients’ conditions to the nursing team.
- Encourage and facilitate patients’ participation in social and recreational activities.
Requirements:
- Possess a relevant QQI Level 5 Certificate in Healthcare Support or an equivalent qualification.
- Demonstrate the ability to undertake the duties of the role effectively.
- Be of good character.
- Access to appropriate transport, as the role may involve travel.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and evenings, as required.
