The Health Service Executive (HSE) is seeking an experienced Senior Radiographer to join its team in Sligo under HSE West and North West. This permanent part-time opportunity is ideal for a skilled radiography professional ready to take a leadership role in delivering high-quality diagnostic imaging services. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong clinical expertise and a proven ability to support service development and patient care excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality diagnostic imaging services in line with professional standards and best practice.
- Demonstrate advanced clinical expertise across a range of radiography modalities.
- Supervise, mentor and support junior radiography staff and students.
- Ensure radiation protection and safety standards are adhered to at all times.
- Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and service development.
- Maintain accurate patient records and imaging documentation.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- BSc (Hons) in Radiography or equivalent recognised qualification.
- Registration with CORU as a Radiographer.
- Significant post-qualification clinical experience relevant to a Senior Radiographer role.
- Demonstrated depth and breadth of practical clinical experience.
- Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills.
- Commitment to continuous professional development.

- Salary in line with HSE Radiographer – Senior (Grade 3107) pay scale, in accordance with the February 2026 Consolidated Salary Scales.
