Job Overview
Connolly Hospital Blanchardstown is seeking a Registrar in Rheumatology to join its Medical and Dental team (Grade 1530). This role provides hands-on specialist experience within a busy acute hospital setting, working closely with consultants and multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality patient care across rheumatology services.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive rheumatology care to inpatients and outpatients under consultant supervision.
- Participate in ward rounds, specialist clinics, and multidisciplinary team meetings.
- Assess, diagnose, and manage patients with rheumatologic and autoimmune conditions.
- Contribute to clinical audits, research activities, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in line with HSE standards.
- Participate in on-call rotas as required.
- Supervise and support junior medical staff where appropriate.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Full registration (or eligibility for registration) with the Irish Medical Council (IMC).
- Previous experience in General Medicine and Rheumatology.
- Demonstrated clinical competence in acute hospital settings.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Commitment to continuing professional development.
- Eligibility to work in Ireland.
Salary, Benefits & Working Hours
Salary is aligned with the February 2026 HSE Consolidated Salary Scales for Registrar (Grade 1538), ranging from:
- €69,580 to €81,937 per annum (1 February 2026 scale)
Salary scales are applied in accordance with Department of Health Circular 1/2025 and the Public Service Agreement 2024–2026 .
