This Chef II Job Dublin opportunity with Our Lady’s Hospice & Care Services offers a rewarding permanent wholetime role within a compassionate, patient-centred healthcare environment. Based in Harold’s Cross, the successful candidate will support the delivery of high-quality, nutritious meals for patients, residents, staff, and visitors.
As a Chef II, you will play a vital role in maintaining exceptional food standards while adhering to healthcare catering regulations and best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, cook, and present meals in line with approved menus and dietary requirements.
- Ensure all food preparation meets HACCP and food safety standards.
- Support the implementation of special diets as directed by clinical and catering teams.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene within the kitchen area.
- Assist with stock control, ordering, and minimising food waste.
- Work collaboratively with catering colleagues and multidisciplinary teams.
- Contribute to menu planning and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and infection control procedures.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Relevant professional cookery qualification.
- Previous experience in a healthcare or large-scale catering environment is desirable.
- Strong knowledge of HACCP and food safety regulations.
- Ability to prepare meals catering to a range of dietary needs.
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
