Job Overview
The Grade IV Assistant Staff Officer Cavan Monaghan role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to frontline health service delivery within HSE Dublin and North East. This permanent wholetime position supports management, administrative and operational functions across the Cavan Monaghan service area.
This role is open to existing employees of the HSE, TUSLA, Section 38 agencies, or statutory health agencies in line with WRC Agreement 161867. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring efficient service coordination, governance support, and administrative excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive administrative and clerical support to management and service teams.
- Coordinate documentation, reports, and correspondence in line with HSE policies.
- Maintain accurate records and support data management systems.
- Assist with financial, HR, and operational processes as required.
- Support the implementation of service improvements and organisational initiatives.
- Liaise with internal departments and external stakeholders to ensure effective communication.
- Ensure compliance with public service procedures and governance standards.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Eligibility restricted to employees of the HSE, TUSLA, Section 38 agencies, or statutory health agencies under WRC Agreement 161867.
- Previous administrative or clerical experience within the public or health sector.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and administrative IT systems.
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a busy healthcare environment.
- Commitment to high standards of confidentiality and governance.

- Salary aligned with the HSE Grade IV (0558) pay scale in accordance with the February 2026 consolidated salary scales and Department of Health Circular 1/2025.
