???? About the Role

Mayo University Hospital is recruiting a permanent whole-time Clinical Midwife Manager 2 to lead our Maternity Outpatients service. This key leadership role offers the opportunity to oversee outpatient midwifery care, ensuring high-quality clinical standards, team coordination, and patient-centred service delivery.

✅ Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage day-to-day operations of the Maternity Outpatients department
  • Deliver exceptional midwifery care—continuity, assisted, and specialised models included
  • Collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe and efficient service
  • Maintain and enforce clinical governance, risk management, and quality improvement
  • Support staff development, mentoring, and performance management

???? Role Requirements

  • Proven depth and breadth of experience in a maternity setting
  • Direct experience in supportive, assisted, and specialised midwifery care models
  • Track record in clinical leadership, staff supervision, and service improvement
