Job Overview
The Practice Tutor Radiation Therapist Dublin role offers an exciting opportunity to join St Luke’s Radiation Oncology Network within HSE Dublin and Midlands. This senior Clinical Specialist position plays a vital role in delivering excellence in radiation therapy education, clinical supervision, and professional development.
As a Practice Tutor Radiation Therapist, you will support high standards of patient care while leading practice-based learning initiatives, mentoring staff, and contributing to service development in a dynamic oncology environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide clinical education and supervision to radiation therapy staff and students.
- Lead and coordinate practice development initiatives within the radiation oncology service.
- Support competency assessment and continuous professional development programmes.
- Ensure adherence to clinical governance, quality standards, and radiation safety protocols.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to enhance patient-centred oncology care.
- Contribute to policy development, audit, and evidence-based practice improvements.
- Act as a specialist clinical resource within radiation therapy services.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Qualification in Radiation Therapy recognised by CORU.
- Registration with CORU as a Radiation Therapist.
- Significant post-registration clinical experience in radiation oncology.
- Demonstrated experience in clinical teaching, mentoring, or practice education.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
- Proven ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and service improvement.
