The Maintenance Foreman Limerick position offers an excellent opportunity to join HSE Mid West in a vital facilities leadership role. Job Overview
The Maintenance Foreman will oversee and coordinate maintenance services across industrial and domestic type buildings within HSE Mid West. The successful candidate will ensure that facilities are maintained to high safety, quality and regulatory standards while supporting frontline healthcare delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate maintenance staff and contractors across assigned facilities.
- Ensure preventative and reactive maintenance programmes are delivered effectively.
- Maintain industrial and domestic type buildings in line with health and safety regulations.
- Oversee compliance with HSE policies, building standards and statutory requirements.
- Manage maintenance records, inspections and reporting documentation.
- Support service continuity by responding promptly to urgent maintenance issues.
- Ensure all works are carried out safely and in accordance with Safe Pass requirements.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Demonstrated depth and breadth of experience maintaining industrial and domestic type buildings.
- Successful completion of the SOLAS Safe Pass Health & Safety Awareness Training Programme, or willingness to complete upon appointment.
- Full, unendorsed Category B Driver’s Licence (as driving HSE vehicles may be required).
- Strong leadership and organisational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple maintenance priorities in a healthcare environment.
- Excellent knowledge of health and safety compliance standards.
