Job Overview
The Health Service Executive (HSE) is seeking applications for the position of Clinical Nurse Manager 1 Sligo Leitrim within Disability Services across Sligo and Leitrim. This role focuses on Intellectual Disability nursing and offers an opportunity to lead, support and develop high-quality, person-centred services.
This is a leadership role within a dynamic multidisciplinary team, supporting service users and staff while ensuring safe, effective and evidence-based care delivery in line with HSE standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide clinical and professional leadership in Intellectual Disability services.
- Support and supervise nursing staff to ensure high standards of care.
- Promote person-centred planning and service delivery.
- Ensure compliance with HIQA standards, HSE policies and professional guidelines.
- Participate in workforce planning, rostering and service development initiatives.
- Contribute to quality improvement and risk management processes.
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, families and external agencies.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and reporting standards.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Registered as a Nurse on the Intellectual Disability Division of the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI).
- Demonstrated depth and breadth of experience in Intellectual Disability Nursing relevant to the role.
- Proven leadership and team management capability.
- Strong communication, organisational and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of HIQA standards and disability service regulations.
- Commitment to continuous professional development.
Salary, Benefits & Working Hours
- Salary Scale: €57,208 – €67,372 per annum (February 2026 Consolidated Salary Scales, point dependent on experience).

A supplementary panel may be formed from this campaign to fill current and future permanent or specified purpose vacancies of full or part-time duration within Disability Services Sligo/Leitrim.
