Job Overview
The Grade VII Human Resources Manager Wexford role at Wexford General Hospital offers an excellent opportunity to lead and support key HR functions within a dynamic acute hospital environment. This permanent whole-time position plays a vital role in workforce planning, employee relations, and the delivery of high-quality HR services aligned with national HSE policies.
Working as part of the HSE Dublin and South East region, the successful candidate will contribute to strategic HR initiatives while ensuring compliance with public sector standards and best practice guidelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive HR management support to hospital management and clinical teams.
- Lead on employee relations matters including disciplinary, grievance, and performance management processes.
- Support workforce planning, recruitment, and retention strategies.
- Ensure compliance with HSE policies, employment legislation, and public service agreements.
- Manage HR metrics, reporting, and workforce analytics to inform decision-making.
- Contribute to organisational change initiatives and service improvement projects.
- Supervise and support HR team members in delivering efficient HR services.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- A relevant third-level qualification in Human Resources, Business, or a related discipline.
- Significant experience in a HR management role, preferably within the public or healthcare sector.
- Strong knowledge of Irish employment legislation and public sector HR frameworks.
- Proven experience managing employee relations cases.
- Excellent communication, organisational, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment with competing priorities.
- Strong analytical and reporting capabilities.
