Job Overview
The Scheduled Care Manager Grade VI Cavan is a key leadership role within HSE Dublin and North East, supporting the effective delivery of scheduled care services in Cavan Monaghan Hospital. This permanent wholetime position offers the opportunity to drive service improvement, optimise patient pathways, and contribute to high-quality, patient-centred care within a dynamic healthcare environment.
Reporting at senior operational level, the successful candidate will play a central role in managing access, performance, and service coordination across scheduled care programmes.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the operational delivery of scheduled care services in line with HSE policies and national targets.
- Coordinate waiting list management and patient flow to ensure timely access to care.
- Work collaboratively with clinical, nursing, and administrative teams to improve service performance.
- Monitor key performance indicators and implement corrective actions where required.
- Prepare performance reports and provide updates to senior management.
- Support service redesign initiatives and continuous quality improvement projects.
- Ensure compliance with governance, risk management, and data protection requirements.
- Contribute to workforce planning and staff supervision within the service area.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Relevant third-level qualification in healthcare management, business, or a related discipline.
- Significant experience in healthcare operations, service management, or administrative leadership.
- Strong knowledge of HSE structures, performance management systems, and scheduled care processes.
- Proven ability to manage competing priorities and deliver results in a complex environment.
- Excellent analytical, reporting, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
- Demonstrated leadership and team management capability.
