Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate maintenance staff across hospital facilities and services.
- Plan, organise and oversee preventative and reactive maintenance programmes.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation, hospital policies and statutory regulations.
- Monitor and maintain plant, equipment and building systems to ensure operational efficiency.
- Liaise with hospital management, contractors and external service providers.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, reports and documentation.
- Support emergency response procedures and critical infrastructure management.
- Promote best practice, continuous improvement and high standards of workmanship.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Relevant trade qualification or technical certification in building services, mechanical, electrical or related discipline.
- Demonstrated experience in maintenance operations within a large organisation or healthcare setting.
- Proven supervisory or foreman-level experience.
- Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations and compliance standards.
- Excellent organisational, communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to prioritise workloads and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Full, clean driving licence may be required.
Salary, Benefits & Working Hours
- Salary aligned with the HSE Consolidated Salary Scales for Maintenance Foreman (Grade 5061), effective February 2026.
- Annual incremental progression in line with public sector agreements.
- Permanent wholetime contract (39 hours per week, typically Monday to Friday).
