Job Overview

Corlann South Disability Day Service is seeking Community Facilitators (Grade: Workshop Supervisor / Instructor 6425) to join its team across Cork City suburbs and West Cork areas including Bandon, Upton and Innishannon. These positions are available on a Permanent Whole-time, Permanent Part-Time and Fixed-Term basis.

The successful candidates will play a key role in supporting service users to achieve meaningful personal goals, develop skills, and engage in community-based programmes in line with best practice disability services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support individuals with disabilities in achieving personal development and community participation goals
  • Facilitate structured day programmes and skill-building activities
  • Promote independence, dignity, and social inclusion
  • Develop and implement person-centred plans in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
  • Maintain accurate records and reports in line with organisational standards
  • Ensure compliance with HIQA regulations and safeguarding policies
  • Work collaboratively with families, carers, and external agencies

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Relevant qualification in Social Care, Community Development, or related discipline
  • Experience working within disability or community-based services
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Full clean driving licence (essential for community-based roles)
  • Understanding of person-centred planning and rights-based approaches

Salary, Benefits & Working Hours

  • Grade: Workshop Supervisor / Instructor (6425)
  • Salary aligned with Health Sector consolidated pay scales (February 2026 revision)
