Mayo University Hospital is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Specialist Radiographer to join its Interventional Radiology team on a permanent part-time basis. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced radiographer to take a lead clinical role within a progressive HSE environment.
The successful candidate will demonstrate depth and breadth of experience in Interventional Radiology, Fluoroscopy and General Radiography, contributing to high-quality patient-centred diagnostic and interventional services.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and deliver advanced clinical practice in Interventional Radiology services.
- Perform and supervise specialised fluoroscopy and general radiography procedures.
- Ensure optimal patient care, safety, and radiation protection standards.
- Support service development, quality improvement, and clinical governance initiatives.
- Provide clinical leadership, mentoring and support to radiography staff.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to enhance patient outcomes.
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with professional and regulatory standards.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- BSc (Hons) in Radiography or equivalent recognised qualification.
- CORU registration as a Radiographer (or eligibility to register).
- Significant post-qualification experience in Interventional Radiology.
- Demonstrated expertise in Fluoroscopy and General Radiography.
- Proven clinical leadership and decision-making ability.
- Strong communication and multidisciplinary teamwork skills.
- Commitment to continuous professional development.

- Salary: In line with HSE consolidated pay scales and relevant experience.
