Job Overview
The Social Worker Team Leader Adult Safeguarding role offers an exciting leadership opportunity within HSE Dublin and North East, covering the Cavan Monaghan area. This permanent wholetime position plays a vital role in protecting vulnerable adults, leading safeguarding interventions, and ensuring best practice standards across services.
This position is open to both HSE and non-HSE applicants and offers the opportunity to lead a multidisciplinary team while contributing to service development and high-quality person-centred care.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the Adult Safeguarding social work team across Cavan and Monaghan.
- Oversee complex safeguarding cases and ensure timely, appropriate interventions.
- Provide professional supervision and guidance to social work staff.
- Ensure compliance with HSE policies, legislation, and national safeguarding frameworks.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, external agencies, and community stakeholders.
- Contribute to service planning, quality improvement initiatives, and governance processes.
- Maintain accurate documentation, reporting, and case management standards.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Recognised qualification as a Social Worker and registration with CORU.
- Significant post-qualification experience, including experience in safeguarding or adult protection.
- Demonstrated leadership and team management experience.
- Strong knowledge of relevant legislation and HSE safeguarding policies.
- Excellent communication, decision-making, and organisational skills.
- Full driving licence and access to transport (if required).
