Key Responsibilities
- Participate in structured military training during evenings and weekends
- Develop and maintain core infantry skills including weapons handling and fieldcraft
- Support Defence Forces operations and national defence preparedness
- Engage in teamwork and leadership exercises at platoon and company level
- Maintain required standards of fitness, discipline, and conduct
- Contribute to community and national service initiatives when required
- Progress through structured military training to achieve 2 Star and 3 Star Private qualifications
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Must be aged 18 to under 39 years (or under 45 for former PDF/RDF members with at least one year of service)
- Minimum height requirement of 157.48cm (5ft 2in)
- No visible tattoos above the collar while in uniform
- Must have at least 5 years eligibility to remain in Ireland
- Ability to meet medical, physical fitness, and security clearance standards
- Strong commitment, discipline, and willingness to learn
- Interest in leadership, teamwork, and personal development
