Job Overview
Bantry General Hospital is seeking a Chef II to join our catering team. You’ll play a key role in preparing and serving nutritious meals for patients and staff, ensuring compliance with HSE and HIQA nutritional standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee preparation and timely service of meals in both acute and residential units.
- Supervise and delegate tasks to the kitchen team, maintaining smooth daily kitchen operations.
- Step in for Chef I when required to maintain service continuity.
Essential Requirements
- Proven experience in a catering or healthcare kitchen environment.
- Strong leadership and organisational skills.
- Clear understanding of HSE and HIQA nutritional policies.
- Excellent time management and communication skills in English.
