Job Overview

Bantry General Hospital is seeking a Chef II to join our catering team. You’ll play a key role in preparing and serving nutritious meals for patients and staff, ensuring compliance with HSE and HIQA nutritional standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee preparation and timely service of meals in both acute and residential units.
• Supervise and delegate tasks to the kitchen team, maintaining smooth daily kitchen operations.
• Step in for Chef I when required to maintain service continuity.

Essential Requirements

• Proven experience in a catering or healthcare kitchen environment.
• Strong leadership and organisational skills.
• Clear understanding of HSE and HIQA nutritional policies.
• Excellent time management and communication skills in English.
