This Clinical Nurse Specialist Candidate Rheumatology post is ideal for a motivated registered nurse seeking to develop specialist expertise while contributing to improved patient outcomes in a dynamic multidisciplinary environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialist nursing care to patients attending the Rheumatology service.
- Support assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of individualised patient care plans.
- Act as a clinical resource for patients, families and multidisciplinary team members.
- Promote evidence-based practice and contribute to service improvement initiatives.
- Participate in patient education, health promotion and self-management support programmes.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation in line with hospital and HSE policies.
- Engage in audit, research and continuous professional development activities.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Registered General Nurse with current registration on the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI).
- Relevant clinical experience in rheumatology or related acute care settings.
- Demonstrated commitment to professional development and specialist practice.
- Excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
- Eligibility to work in Ireland.

- Salary aligned with the HSE Clinical Nurse Specialist Candidate (General) Grade 2697 pay scale, in accordance with February 2026 public sector pay adjustments.
